I am a seasoned therapist with many years of clinical experience with male survivors of sexual abuse. In addition, I have taught and supervised many therapists over the years both in my practice and in training institutes in New York City and in Westchester County. I have also been the Director of two training institutes for therapists. I have taught classes educating therapists about work with sexually abused men and I have also taught an Addictions Course at a training center in Manhattan. I have often found that many men who have been abused struggle with all kinds of addictions as a way to cope with overwhelming emotions. I also work with many couples where one partner has been abused. I have been told by my students and by my patients that I am a warm and compassionate therapist. I help to create a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere in the office to enable men to talk about very difficult experiences.
