Caring, compassionate and authentic. After having traveled the difficult journey from pain and despair to hope and healing, Pam has a passion for coming alongside individuals who are hurting and in need of hope - walking with them toward healing, forgiveness and restoration. Pam is trained in the use of EMDR for the reprocessing and resolution of traumatic memories and prefers to use a holistic approach to counseling wherein emotional, physical, spiritual and relational problems; trauma responses; identity crises; maladaptive coping skills or clinical pathology are addressed as a means of finding wholeness and hope. Along with traditional therapeutic modalities, she believes that the therapeutic process is greatly enhanced by the use of creative interventions. These include art, music, writing, play, nature, and, according to the needs and desires of the client, spiritual formation/direction in accordance with a Christian worldview.
Are you struggling with the fallout of childhood abuse? Do you have low self-esteem, depression or overwhelming stress? My passion is to come alongside you who long for something more, supporting and guiding you as we discover your individual path to healing and wholeness. There is hope for a better life! Having faced similar life challenges, I have come out the other side a deeper, wiser, freer and more loving person. It would be an honor to accompany you as, together, we gently uncover the roots and heart of the issue ~ wherein lie the answers. I specialize in working with individuals who, for any variety of reasons, have lost their true sense of self. Together, we will explore the hurts and defense mechanisms that have kept your heart from being fully alive and then move toward healing so that you can live an abundant, whole life. I am a client-focused, heart-focused counselor. I use both individual and group counseling; mind/body, talk and creative therapies to help the client rediscover self, heart and hope; always knowing that he/she is significant and accepted in the safety of our healing relationship.
