Biography As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am a capable, compassionate, experienced clinician that provides individual, couple/marital, and family therapy for a wide range of issues, including but not limited to, relational conflict, trauma and abuse recovery, parent-child conflict, anger management, and more. My specialties include: Couple/marital therapy; Sexual abuse and trauma recovery; as well as Working with issues of religion/spirituality, race/ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation.
Other Information I do not have a "one approach fits all" philosophy of therapy. Some approaches work well for some people, while other people respond better to a different approach. Having said that, it is probably most accurate to say my primary therapeutic orientation is based in Family Systems Theory. Systemic Theory considers how the complex interactions of relationships influence our psychological and emotional health. It's the belief individuals cannot be understood in isolation from one another. Families are systems of interconnected and interdependent individuals, none of whom can be understood in isolation from their families, communities, or society.
