Using a variety of pyschotherapy modalities (inisght oriented work, EMDR, family systems, relational therapy and some cognitive-behavioral techniques) I have worked with men and adolescent males with issues re: overcoming trauma of sexual abuse; addressing the myriad of areas it affects, including sexual relationships, sexual identity, gender identity, work/school performance, intimate relationships, self-esteem, subtsance abuse & other addictive behaviors. My goal is to guide, but not direct the client to reclaim their own body and sexuality from dissocoiative reactions, and to identify a healthy sense of self/identity in order to function happily in relationships and work. I have worked in NYC with men of all ages and races and sexual identities, and feel especially committed to addressing how these marginal identities impact one's history of trauma.
