I attended the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate and developed a sense of service as I graduated with a psychology degree. Then I attended Harvard for a Masters of Education in Counseling and Consulting Psychology. I worked as a consultant for Lilly Endowment during graduate school. Finally I attended DePaul University and received a masters and then a doctorate in Clinical Child Psychology. My dissertation was on the impact of Trauma on the information processing of boys. While in graduate school at DePaul I worked as a therapist at Midwest Family Resources which specialized in the treatment of sexual abuse. While writing my dissertation I worked at Maryville Academy Streamwood as the clinical director. This was a locked residential facility. This is where the most difficult and typically the most traumatized teens lived. Then I went on to private practice in Indianapolis and Evansville. In Evansville I was the director of assessment and outpatient services. I began to develop a treatment program for adolescent offenders but left the facility before being able to complete that program. I have a passion for helping people grow as people, parents and professionals and business owners.
