I take an eclectic approach to providing individual and group psychotherapy. I believe that emotional healing is a natural process and that my role is to facilitate the journey. My hope is to facilitate and encourage each individual towards fulfilling their potential in life. The process will be different for each client and, as such, my style is adapted to respond to the immediate needs presented. For some clients, the process focuses on skills development and for other clients the journey might be to engage in a deeper healing process by addressing traumatic memories and experiences. I hold a Master Counselling Psychology Degree and I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor. I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in treating Traumatic Stress and in addressing symptoms that arise from critical incidents, accidents, violence/abuse, illness, and loss. I have extensive experience working with male survivors and with individuals involved in the criminal justice system. I treat concerns related to anger, self-esteem, illness, pain, abuse (sexual, physical, and emotion), and mood disorders including depression and anxiety.I am committed to ensuring services are available without financial barrier.
