Years of Experience with Victims

I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I earned an M.S.Ed. in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania and a Psy.D. in Clinical and School Psychology from James Madison University. I currently work as a staff psychologist at Penn State's Counseling and Psychological Services, where I also serve as the coordinator of Purple Team services (services for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking). I have experience conducting individual and group therapy in a variety of settings (residential treatment, community mental health, crisis mobile response, etc.) with children and adolescents with various social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns, the families of such children and adolescents, and adults with various emotional, interpersonal, and psychiatric difficulties. I also have a great deal of experience in psycho-educational and personality assessment. Prior to Penn State, I completed an APA-approved doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at the Milton Hershey School with a special focus on treating children and adolescents who have experienced complex trauma. I operate from a theoretically integrative orientation that considers the the individual at all of the various levels of functioning: the neuro-biological; the intra-psychic (cognitive and affective); and the relational all of which occur within the context of larger social systems (i.e. family, culture, etc.) and across time and development. Additionally, I have been trained in and have experience utilizing empirically supported treatments for PTSD, including TF-CBT for children and adolescents and Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for adults. I am currently an in-network provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. My fee-for-service rate is $165 for an initial consultation/diagnostic interview and $150 for individual psychotherapy sessions. I can easily be reached at 814-380-7642 or

Other Information
I am a trained volunteer facilitator for Stewards of Children, a community prevention program that trains adults to identify and address signs of childhood sexual abuse to protect children. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Peaceful Hearts Foundation. In the past several years, I have facilitated several support groups for male survivors of sexual trauma and have worked with a number of men in individual therapy who are survivors. Working to prevent sexual violence, protect children, and help survivors heal is the primary driving force in my career.
You are not alone. It was not your fault. It is possible to heal. It is not too late.
