I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I earned an M.S.Ed. in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania and a Psy.D. in Clinical and School Psychology from James Madison University. I currently work as a staff psychologist at Penn State's Counseling and Psychological Services, where I also serve as the coordinator of Purple Team services (services for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking). I have experience conducting individual and group therapy in a variety of settings (residential treatment, community mental health, crisis mobile response, etc.) with children and adolescents with various social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns, the families of such children and adolescents, and adults with various emotional, interpersonal, and psychiatric difficulties. I also have a great deal of experience in psycho-educational and personality assessment. Prior to Penn State, I completed an APA-approved doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at the Milton Hershey School with a special focus on treating children and adolescents who have experienced complex trauma. I operate from a theoretically integrative orientation that considers the the individual at all of the various levels of functioning: the neuro-biological; the intra-psychic (cognitive and affective); and the relational all of which occur within the context of larger social systems (i.e. family, culture, etc.) and across time and development. Additionally, I have been trained in and have experience utilizing empirically supported treatments for PTSD, including TF-CBT for children and adolescents and Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for adults. I am currently an in-network provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. My fee-for-service rate is $165 for an initial consultation/diagnostic interview and $150 for individual psychotherapy sessions.
