Empowering Male Survivors to Hold Abusers Accountable
May 26, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
“Empowering Male Survivors:
Using the Law – and Self-affirmation –
To Hold Sex Abusers Accountable”
Join us on Tuesday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) for a free, hour-long webinar that could be life-changing.
This unique Webinar of Recovery, sponsored by MaleSurvivor.org, will provide a powerful message to male survivors of childhood sex abuse: There are many legal and personal paths to hold sex abusers accountable, and taking such action can be tremendously healing.
Panelists will include a leading attorney who has successfully represented hundreds of male survivors in civil litigation; male victims who have held their predators accountable; and therapists/counselors engaged in helping men heal from the often-debilitating effects of sexual victimization. The event will have an open-discussion format, and those in attendance will be able ask questions, and get real-time answers.
Advance registration is required by visiting this URL:
Each registrant will need to provide a valid email address. This address will be used to deliver a confirmation of event registration, as well as several email reminder messages.
The webinar will be of special value to men who have been sexually abused at any point in their lives; their loved ones; and professionals involved in providing treatment, legal and law enforcement services to male survivors.
The keynote panelist will be Gregory Gianforcaro, a New Jersey-based attorney who is respected throughout the legal community for his compassionate work in representing male survivors. Gianforcaro was raised in Mendham, New Jersey. A local, sex abuse scandal emerged, involving a “respected” priest in the church where the Gianforcaro family worshipped. Many of his childhood friends had been sexually abused, and this damaging reality propelled Gianforcaro to “step up to the plate” and represent them in civil litigation.
