Biography

I am a Board Certified Massage Therapist (BCTMB) and a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), trained in a variety of integrative body-oriented modalities including Healing Touch and Chakra Bodywork. I specialize in working with survivors. My work is trauma-informed, sex-positive and queer and trans friendly. I am comfortable working with people of varied identities and relationship styles. I also offer workshops on personal safety, boundaries and consent and have taught Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) in schools, shelters and support groups for 25 years. I have extensive experience working with women, trans-masculine and GNC folks. Though I have limited experience working with cis-gender men who are survivors, this is an underserved group I would like to reach more. If you are seeking ways to better manage sensory and emotional triggers related to abuse, to improve communication, to increase your capacity to receive nurturing touch, or looking for support in creating the conditions for more trust and intimacy in your life, somatic therapies or trauma-informed bodywork may be a good fit for you.
