Announcing "Mini" Weekends of Recovery!

Saturday, September 6; San Diego California ($99)

In an effort to expand access to healing support for survivors, MaleSurvivor’s Weekends of Recovery team has created one-day "Mini Weekends of Recovery" that offer survivors a shorter version of the full Weekend experience. Our 1-day Mini-Weekend of Recovery workshops offer an abridged version of the regular 3-day MaleSurvivor Weekends of Recovery experience.

Using many of the approaches and exercises from the full weekends, these sessions are designed for male survivors of sexual abuse experienced at any time in their lives, as children and/or as adults. Working alongside other survivors and members of our experienced WoR Facilitator Team, attendees will

  • learn new tools to become more mindful and safer in your body
explore how you can be safer with other people
  • explore how to be safely heard when you choose to disclose
learn tools for connecting with yourself
  • explore communicating to your significant others about the changes you are making in your life and recovery
  • and most importantly, be in the company of other male survivors as you discover the power of community in healing.

"It was a gift to my recovery to be in a safe and supportive environment with other healing men - knowing that we have survived the worst and can heal together"
- WoR Attendee

Like our longer Weekends of Recovery, our mini-weekend program is professionally facilitated by trained therapists, utilizing the same clinical boundaries and code of ethics as adopted by the American Psychological Association. The mini-weekends are adjuncts to participants' ongoing recovery work with individual and/or group psychotherapy, twelve step programs, and individual spiritual work, and are not meant to substitute for the participants' local support systems that are consistent with their own recovery.

Upcoming Mini-WoR's

9/6/14 - San Diego, CA - Town and Country Resort Center (more info here)
10/31/14 - Newark, NJ - MaleSurvivor Conference (session A1 - registration info here)
